Simon Hawker, IFA - Lonsdale Services voted in Top 50 Financial Advisers in UK

The Financial Times recently issued its annual Top 100 Financial Advisers.  In 2018 Lonsdale Services was voted one of their top 50 financial advisers with £430m assets under management invested in retail investment funds.

According to the Financial Times the FT Adviser list is helpful as ‘savers want to be certain their money is being managed by the best people. As the FT’s specialist publication for financial professionals FT Adviser’s 2018 Top 100 Financial Advisers list uses data collated by our research partner Strategic Insight to provide a snapshot of some of the very best intermediaries working in the UK today. Rather than being based purely on sales, the list now ranks firms by looking at other factors that are key to investors seeking the best person to assist them with their finances.’

‘We are delighted to be ranked by the FT Adviser in the top 50 financial advisers in the UK for our financial planning service.  The list is not purely based on retail sales but for 2018 companies were scored on a range of factors important to investors.  Strategic Insight reviewed the growth rate of the advisory business, how long each business has been managing assets in different markets and how well qualified their financial advisers are.  Businesses were also compared on how well they retain investors’ money.  Inflows and outflows were also checked by reviewing data on net flows received directly from fund managers and seventeen of the nation’s largest investment platforms.’

According to the Financial Times ‘where an advice firm features on the list also gives some indication of how their assets under management naturally grew based on their smart investment choices. In recognition of advice firms’ commitment to their professional development, they were also awarded bonus points for having earned top industry certifications.’
