Providing Auto Enrolment Advice

With a rapidly growing young workforce MarketMakers required a comprehensive auto enrolment solution.

MarketMakers is a telemarketing and lead generation services business, specialising in B2B telemarketing. Growth is generated by lead generation, and since MarketMakers was established in 2004 turnover has increased 40% per annum.

Auto Enrolment Solution

Lonsdale Services IFA Richard Porter initially reviewed the MarketMakers payroll situation (weekly and monthly payroll) to determine the most appropriate group personal pension plan for the group.

He recommended a Standard Life qualifying workplace pension scheme with good online access and an excellent range of funds.

In order to adequately assess the workforce Richard recommended MarketMakers upgrade their payroll solution and purchase the relevant pension package. This tool enabled MarketMakers payroll staff to provide a monthly report to Standard Life detailing which staff should be included in the pension scheme.

The complications of establishing MarketMakers auto enrolment solution meant the company postponed their staging date for the maximum period. MarketMakers has now communicated with their workforce regarding opting in/out of the pension scheme, and their pension auto enrolment scheme will go live on 1st August 2014.

MarketMakers has over 300 staff and a relatively young workforce who earn commission and bonuses, so providing a workable auto enrolment solution was challenging.”
