Daniel Stansall achieves the Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing

Wednesday 24 June, 2015

Daniel Stansall passed the Chartered Institute of Insurance J12 exam, and receives a Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing. In November 2014, Daniel qualified as a Financial Consultant when he passed the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, the benchmark qualification for financial advisers.

The Institute of Chartered Insurance said the certificate is designed to ‘develop understanding of the features and risks of different securities, the structure and features of the securities market and relevant factors and considerations for appropriate investment recommendations’. Daniel said: ’A reasonable percentage of our current clients hold corporate bonds and equities, so in order to be able to offer financial advice on those products I needed to pass the Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing. I am delighted to have passed this exam as it broadens the investment options and advice that I am able to offer clients. I see corporate bonds, especially if used by pension clients, as a useful investment when constructing a balanced portfolio, and this is only going to become more relevant as bond yields rise in the future.’

Daniel Stansall is a Trainee Financial Adviser in North London, based at our Barnet office.
