Monday 21 September, 2015

The Pensions Regulator published new figures in their recent quarterly compliance and enforcement bulletin that showed 20% of small and micro employers due to stage in the coming months are still unaware of their exact staging date (source: The Pensions Regulator).  Figures also confirmed that between April and June 2015 the Pension Regulator issued

  • 119 compliance notices
  • 50 unpaid contributions notices
  • 68 fixed penalty notices

Richard Porter, Financial Adviser and Director at Lonsdale Benefit Consultants said: ‘our experience shows that organising a workplace pension and preparing for auto enrolment can be very complicated and each company faces different auto enrolment challenges.  It’s really important that every employer leaves enough time to prepare effectively so they can get the best auto enrolment solution for their company and its employees.’
