Friday 17 May, 2019

Having won the Retirement Planner Awards (RPA) Outstanding Customer Care award in 2017 Lonsdale Services is again amongst five national financial planning companies selected as a finalist for the award at the Retirement Planner Awards, 2019.

The other finalists for the Outstanding Customer Care Award include Citywide Financial Partners, Kellands (Hale) Ltd, Prosperity Wealth Ltd and Zurich.   The Outstanding Customer Care Category is ‘open to pension providers that offer pension/retirement services to individuals.’ The winner will be announced on the 14th June at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London.

The Retirement Planner Awards are in their sixth year.  Lonsdale Services won the 2017 Outstanding Customer Care award with a case study submitted by Deb Nolan, Lonsdale Wealth Management independent financial adviser in Leeds/Bradford.  Deb Nolan has also submitted the case study for this year’s award.  In 2017 Deb Nolan advised a member of a money purchase occupational pension scheme that they could be due a financial entitlement in the form of scheme-specific tax-free cash protection.  In 2018 Lonsdale Services also won the Retirement Planner Award (RPA) for Best Individual Pension Advice firm in the South East and Anglia.  Allan Ross our Lonsdale Wealth Management independent financial adviser in Ware was also ‘highly commended’ in the Estate Planner Adviser category in 2018.

To enter the Outstanding Customer Care award Deb Nolan, member of the Leeds/Bradford financial planning team had to submit a case study.  During the year Deb had provided pension advice to a client who was looking to take early retirement and her independent financial advice enabled him to make substantial tax savings during the 2018/19 tax year.

It’s a great achievement that Deb Nolan our independent financial advisor in Leeds / Bradford has again been nominated for the Outstanding Customer Care award, having won the award in 2017. Deb manages our successful Leeds / Bradford financial planning team.  She has grown our financial advice business in Yorkshire, since she set it up in 2013.  She works with clients across Yorkshire including Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Skipton and Huddersfield.  The testimonials that we get back from Deb’s clients show that they are really satisfied with the financial advice she provides.  All our Lonsdale Services financial consultants are committed to offering the best possible independent financial advice and client service and this is reflected in the excellent client satisfaction figures that can be reviewed in the Our Clients section of the website.’

Deb Nolan, independent financial adviser Leeds/Bradford said:

‘It’s a great honour to be chosen as a finalist for this award.  I really enjoy working with my clients helping them understand what financial advice they need and why.  The case study we submitted is a great example of how we work with our clients to educate them before offering financial advice.  I work with a great team in Leeds / Bradford and everyone worked really hard on this client case to get all the relevant information together before the end of the tax year, so it was a real team effort.’
